Collection: Lucien Boillot

Gevrey Chambertin

There is a sort of gateway between the two banks of full Burgundy, a bridge thrown between the Côte de Beaune and the Côte de Nuits, linked by this estate which is among the most beautiful appellations of these two vineyards. In 1950, Lucien Boillot brought them together, he who descended from a long line of winegrowers from Volnay, by establishing his own estate in Gevrey-Chambertin. Since 2003 his son Pierre has been at the head of the estate.

He is a winegrower who spends time in his vines, who knows them by heart, the requirement of someone who produces great wines. The agriculture is reasoned, inspired by organic, the yield limited. Gentle vinification, long vatting, seeks out the depth of the fruit. The resulting wines are elegant, dense, and sought-after.
